Andreas Weigel

Andreas Weigel is from the Langenberg district of Raschau-Markersbach, within the Saxony Regional Group. He has been a breed judge for the German Shepherd Dog Club (SV e.V.) since 2019 and was appointed as a Breed Survey Master (Körmeister) in 2022. Furthermore, he serves as the Regional Breed Warden for Saxony and as Chairman of the Raschau-Langenberg Local Group.

He has been connected to the German Shepherd Dog since early childhood. As a young person, he had the opportunity to gain his first experiences in breeding by working with a local breeder. In 1988, he registered the kennel name "vom Almhof" in the club's studbook; since then, approximately 150 litters have been whelped in his kennel. Together with fellow breeders, he founded the Raschau-Langenberg Local Group in 1994. As its chairman, Andreas always viewed the position as a special challenge to make a successful contribution to club life within the Regional Group. Together they organized numerous events and gained a strong reputation within the German Shepherd community.

He is deeply grateful to have received the Silver Merit Badge, breeder badges in bronze, silver, and gold, and to have been named the Regional Group's "Best Breeder" on several occasions. It has always been a priority to Andreas and his family to breed healthy, family-oriented dogs with a strong work ethic and sound temperament: dogs that are true to type, expressive, and possess harmonious conformation. They have focused primarily on breeding and the show circuit, achieving success with many of their dogs both domestically and abroad. They love the club community and are delighted to have met German Shepherd enthusiasts from all over the world.

Torsten Kallenbach

Torsten Kallenbach is a breeder, character assessor, breeding judge and licensing master for German Shepherds. He is also the breed warden of the Thuringia regional group in Germany.

As a boy he always had a tendency to want a German Shepherd. At the age of 13, he was able to convince his parents and acquired his first female. He passed the protection dog test with her in 1981. In the same year, the kennel entry "vom Türkenkopf" took place and his first litter fell in 1982. He was happy to get involved in the club and after a few years became a breed warden in the district. The sport and the breeding continued on a small scale, but continuously: the demands would be greater.

About ten years ago, after being persuaded by a breeding judge, who has since passed away, he applied to the SV for the office of breeding judge. There were many prerequisites which had to be met for this and the career itself is not easy. He is now looking forward to judging various events.
